Hi there friends! My name is Eva and I am on a journey. I am on a journey to be the best version on me I can be. I initially started this blog to help educated people who are interest in gardening or starting a homestead. Being the introvert that I am, I never thought in a million years I would be blogging about deep, personal topics as well. It was clear to me that God was molding me to share the stories that he has put on my heart.
The Farm
After years of feeling unhealthy no matter what I tried, I started doing research on healing my body through food. Needless to say my research left me frightened at what the conventional food industry has become and I decided to take matters into my own hands.
Without any prior gardening, farming or agriculture experience, I asked my husband to build me a garden bed and I started putting seeds in the ground. I never thought that witnessing these seeds grow into food for my family would be the start of an obsession. In no time we began our quest to build our urban farm and homestead, Green Bella Farms.
Our homestead now includes chickens, goats, tropical fruit trees and all types of seasonal vegetables. Learning how to care for our animals and grow healthy food for our family did not come easy and we are still learning every day!
The Personal Twist
For the longest time I had been wanting to write about things that were “outside of the farm”. I always feared that I would either lose an my audience if I didn’t stick strictly to my niche. Weeks and months passed and I still had this burning inside of me to open the scope of my blog. In addition to the gardening posts, I started writing about topics that I believe God was leading me to share. Topics like faith, marriage, body image, confidence, love and being married to a man who may or may not have a small obsession with Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Please join me as I go on my journey from typical suburban girl to modern-day urban farmer. From the good, to the bad, to the down right ugly, nothing is off limits as I document my victories and failures on the homestead and how I keep my faith alive through it all.
I can’t wait to connect with you!
Much Love!
Eva
