DIY Coconut Lime Sugar Scrub (With Video)

To be honest I have a bit of an obsession with skincare. I have always tried to find the latest and greatest product to help my skin look radiant and young for as along as I possibly can. Recently I have been researching natural ways to keep my skin beautiful and toxin free. One of the things I LOVE to do is make my own beauty products! Today I will be sharing one of my personal favorite DIY sugar scrubs. This natural sugar scrub with minimal ingredients is what keep my skin glowing!

I use this scrub as part of my own personal skincare routine. My skin feels smoother and looks more radiant ever since I made the switch from over priced skin care to home made skin care. Everyone knows exfoliating your skin is essential to healthy skin but you should only exfoliate 2-3 times a week, depending on your skin type and/or sensitivity. 

Here is What You Will Need:

Coconut Lime Sugar Scrub: 

1 Cup of Organic Cane Sugar (Fine grain if you have sensitive skin)

1/3 Cup Organic Coconut Oil 

1 Table Spoon of Lime Zest

1/2- A small lime 

1 Mason Jar 

 

There are only 3 simple steps to make this luxurious sugar scrub: 

Step 1

First you want to melt the coconut oil down to its liquid form. I just put it in the microwave for 10 seconds and that should do the trick. 

Step 2

Add the coconut oil and lime essential oil to the sugar. Mix very well until combined. (There may still be some “chunks” at this stage). 

Step 3

Add in lime zest, and fresh lime juice from 1/2 of a lime. Mix well and until it is a smooth, fluffy consistency. That’s it, you are done!
